Nora Paddison

Meet Nora Paddison, a dedicated Physical Education teacher from the Northeast of England, who passionately served in this role for an impressive 35 years. In the final decade of her career, Nora took on a crucial responsibility: promoting sports involvement, performance, competition, and participation among 5 to 18-year-olds across various schools in her area. Throughout this time, she collaborated with numerous coaches, teachers, and students, leaving a positive impact on countless young lives. The fulfillment she derived from her job was undeniable, and her love for it was evident.

Upon retiring from teaching and relocating to Tavira, Nora embraced a new adventure by stepping into the world of netball as a participant. Having been a gymnast in her youth and later a coach, the transition to team sports brought a refreshing and enjoyable change. Alongside her continued involvement in coaching and refereeing during netball practices, Nora found the true joy in playing the sport herself. Each session brings great fun, an intense workout, and an amazing camaraderie with a fantastic group of fellow ladies. She wholeheartedly cherishes every moment of this new chapter in her life.
